![]() Hard at work at the Lab. This is the Lab on the third floor. There is another bigger Lab on the fourth floor. Each member of the Lab are assigned his/her own desk space. ![]() Lively discussion at the Colab. Collaborating with outside organizations, the Colab members aim for social impact. Various events are carried throughout the year at the Ishida & Matsubara Lab.
Spring![]() Various kickoff events are carried out in spring. The photo shows a kickoff event held by the Language Grid Association at the COCON Karasuma City Lab in the spring of 2007. ![]() Cherry blossom viewing is held every year near the Kamogawa river. We eat Japanese traditional boxed lunch (obento) under the cherry blossom tree. Summer![]() ![]() Every summer, we go on a three day summer retreat. Last year, we drove around the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and precipice's of Tojinbo. Nature heals the daily stresses. Autumn![]() Some members join the lab in fall. A jolly French student is playing a funny Japanese tune with his flute. Winter![]() ![]() The year-end party highlights the winter event. Some lab members show special skills unrelated to research or programming. ![]() ![]() Bachelor and Masters students give thesis presentation in February. Students give a flower bouquet to Professor Ishida with hearts full of appreciation. |
