We are organizing Culture and Computing 2010 as a collection of symposiums, panels, workshops, and exhibitions, hoping to share the issues, activities and research results regarding culture and computing.
To publish academic activities presented at the events of the conference, we invite you to submit papers for the conference post-proceedings that will be published as a volume of Springer Lecture Note Series (LNCS).
Papers are solicited on any aspect of culture and computing, but should describe research results presented at the symposiums, panels, workshops, or exhibitions in Culture and Computing 2010: at least one of the authors should attend and present their research activities at the conference.
Submit your paper (PDF) written in English including an abstract (150 words) by e-mail to:
culture-postproceedings[at]ai.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp
Camera-ready papers should be 12 to 15 pages long and submitted in Springer LNCS format. Please follow the
instructions for authors available at the Springer Web page:
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html
Surface mail address and e-mail addresses should be included for all contributing authors.
Since we have a fairly tight schedule, papers for review can be written in Japanese or English in any format. If you already prepared a paper for a workshop in Culture and Computing 2010, you can simply submit it for the conference post-proceedings review. However, if your paper will be accepted, your camera-ready paper should be submitted in English.
In order to ensure a qualified review process, the length of the papers for review should not be too short: at least 8 pages if formatted in the Springer Lecture Note Series (LNCS) format. Submitted papers will be reviewed by three distinguished researchers in the area of culture and computing.
Deadline for titles and abstracts: January 31st, 2010
Deadline for papers for review: February 15th, 2010
Author notification: March 8th, 2010
Deadline for camera ready papers: March 31st, 2010
