Q system consists of six packages: IPC package, mega-scale package, basic package (Dr. Scheme version), basic package (KAWA version), VisiQ package, Q translator package. It is not always necessary to use all these packages; you can select the packages to your purpose. In construction of mega-scale multiagent system, mega-scale package that an interpreter is incorporated to Caribbean is to be selected. When you want to attach Q to a legacy system, either Dr. Scheme version or KAWA version is available. Dr. Scheme version provides a connection method specified for Windows (Shared memory) and is suitable for connecting agents which work on Windows. MS Agent and FreeWalk are the examples for this application. KAWA version can have more variable interfaces with agent systems; the connection method is able to be provided as a connection protocol description from the user and makes it possible to connect with any platform. As the utilities for processing scenario syntax, IPC package, VisiQ package and Q translator package are prepared. IPC package and VisiQ package are used to help the description of scenarios. IPC package provides a specific language for each domain and VisiQ package provides a tool for making scenarios by state transition diagram. Q translator is used for constructing an agent system that Q interpreter is combined in Java.
